We have been talking about ways to expel negative energies from your house with Jacki Smith and Patty Shaw, Owners of Coventry Creations. In the last blog post, we talked about some causes of negative energy build up in your household.  In this blog post, they discuss what are some simple ways to clear it all away. These are simple and easy ways to cleanse different types of energy from your home.  Some you many know about or have even forgotten about but it’s great to have a nice refresher!

Clearing Away Anger:

Walk through the house with buckets of cool, clear and clean water (all three, very important). It picks up a lot of emotions.  Then dump the buckets of water off your property. Afterward, light s peaceful, tranquil candle. “With ever you clear, you have to refill”

Clear Away Tiredness:

Open a window and make sure to sweep the old energy out of the window with a feather duster or baking pan, then wash the pan. Afterward, light an uncrossing candle with a fire(energy candle)

Clear Away Depression: Light a grief candle then a happiness candles.  Afterward, drum on something make it a happy beat.  This will fill your home with happiness and pleasure.

Clear Away Confusion: Use a pair of scissors and make a clipping motion in the air around you to cut the attachments of energy that are pulling you in too many different directions.

Clear Away Ghosts: Burn a sage candle to raise the vibration and tell them you leave your house now. Visualize a beam of white light filling your house and property. Ask Archangel Michael to help these lost souls find a way to the other side.

Too Much Electricity: Place smokey quartz or obsidian around your house and around your computer, TV and the clock radio near your bed. Burn a stability candle to ground extra energy in your aura into the earth.

Getting Back to Basics the Hoo Doo Way

As you may have caught on, we’re going Hoo Doo this month.  For many, this will remind us of our roots.  Not just our ancestral roots, but actual roots.  Hoo Doo Magic is root work and with it we tap into the magical properties of what grows in the earth all around us.  Hoo Doo magic uses roots to help us understand the root cause of our problems and situations.   Did I say the word root enough?  I hope so.

I’d like to mention that you don’t have to be initiated in root work, Hoo Doo or any other religion or magical practice to benefit from working with the spiritual nature of plants and well planted intentions.  All you need is a problem and a desire to overcome it in a balanced and enlightened way.  I added balanced and enlightened so you know that it’s important to make positive magic, every time.   Please resist being a greedy, revengeful, or jealous when blazing the path to your future.  Ok, lecture and cautionary comments have been delivered.

The beauty of getting back to basics the hoo doo way is that it’s so straightforward, and well, basic.  The most complicate player in hoo doo magic is you and the more you allow yourself to drill down to the very root of your problem the easier it is to understand.  We are much better at solving our problems when we understand them.

Jacki and I like to play the why game when figuring out what candle to use to help us with a particular problem.  We played this game when we were kids to see how far our parent’s knowledge could go on a subject.  Every answer they gave us was met with, why?  It was pretty fun and we never knew where we’d end up.  This little game was the inspiration for the method we teach people for learning the root cause of their problem.  When you solve for that, your magic seems miraculous.

So before you decide the direction of your magic, play the game and find out what the real problem is.  Then it’s safe to pick your Hoo Doo Candle because you know exactly what you’re solving for.  I’ll give you a for instance.  My husband and I wanted to buy a house, but our debt to income ratio was quite out of balance.  I seriously doubted a bank would write a mortgage for us, but my husband said let’s try anyway.  The process was torture and I wanted to give up, so I played the why game.  My questions led me to the truth that I was afraid to make such a gigantic financial commitment; not just the mortgage, but potential home repairs intimidated me.  I have high standards and I know I wouldn’t want to live a minute without good plumbing and a working furnace or AC.  So calling more money to me or making the purchase of our house easier would have been met with more resistance on my part. The blocks I was dealing with were not financial at all, they were emotional.  Once I got on board with my reality and faced my fears, the Road Opener Hoo Doo candle could part my stormy seas so our mortgage could get approved, and the offer on the house we chose could be accepted.  OVERNIGHT.

I invite you to play the why game the next time you are stumped and can’t figure out what to do.  Keep asking why is it?, and why do I feel that way?, and follow the trail of answers.  It will lead you to the place where you the magic can help you make real and lasting changes.   Then choose Hoo Doo candles to help you break up the root blocks to your goals.  If you do your magic this way you’ll have less self sabotage to overcome and better results.

We are nearing the end of our inaugural pour of the the glass version of select Blessed Herbal and World magic candles.  We have learned a lot this year and we really are thankful for all your feedback and patience while we work on getting the perfect version of the candle to you!  We have made some updates on how we ship out the containers and we are now able ship in any quantity instead of in 3s. It's a Jungle Out There Sometimes.

The other day I was both amused and horrified by my latest tumblr obsession byefelipe.  For those who do not know about it, it is a series of screen shots of some truly disturbing things that were said to women in the online dating world. I will leave it to you to look it up, but I will give a warning that the language and subject matter can be a shocker.

Dating has always been tough.  Meeting a nice person. The beating your self esteem can take. Dealing with jerks.  Now add the online element and it seems like a 10 fold adventure. We here at Coventry Creations have started to create little gift sets that can be used in your store as kits for the day to day challenges and struggles we all go through.  This is a great way to package and display products together for a gift or even a personal development.  Adventures in dating is the beginning of a series of 13 sets for different ways to package and market the idea of gift sets.  We will also have available, printable cards to put in the gift set that explains what the products does for this particular intention. The Glass Container's Price is being reduced. The Glass Container Candles are slimming down their prices in October.  We were able to adjust a few items that we feel will make the candle more affordable while not lowering the quality of the candles. So basically the came high end wax, same 8% essential oil same 50+ burn time, same reusable glass and you still get a box of wooden matches but at a much reduced cost. The container candles will go from $13.95 each  to $9.75 each.  That means that a set of 3 will now be $29.25 instead of $41.85. That's a 30% reduction!  This will make the price more competitive an in line with some of the other glass candles you may already carry. 

Already purchased the candles at the higher price?

Don't worry if you have already purchased the container candles.  You will not be left out on this reduction.  All the stores that purchased the glass container candles will be receiving a credit on their account for the difference in price. This credit does not have to go toward more container candles if you don't want. Please call us at 800-810-3837 if you have any further questions about the container candles or the credit.

The container candles will still be sold in sets of three candles for shipping purposes so the price will reflect the three container candles. 

It's not brain science to know that the better our wholesale stores do, the better we do.  We want to support you and help get that foot traffic up in your store however we can!  If you haven't heard of it before, Coventry Creations has a shop local program.  It is a way for stores to share their events and products with all of the retail world.  These are then sent out in our retail newsletter and available for search online. My mother has a little alter in homage the various family member who  have past past away these past years.  She also has planted trees and bushes in her garden dedicated to them.  The the Coventry Creations Factory I can think of three different alters dedicated to different employees ancestors.  They are all very beautiful and all influenced my an array of religions.  In every culture they have different ways of thinking about and processing death.  Some more commercialized then others.  Some are in the mainstream and some are almost forgotten save someones abuela or nana teaching you some old family tradition. Thinking about those who have gone before you is a way to tap into something bigger then yourself and in one way or another help you to heal, give you perspective on what those have suffered before you, teach you gratitude, discover who you are and help you find your path in life.

There are many different reasons why people are at least superficially are attracted to such things like dia de los muertos and beautifully decorated skeletons and painted skulls.  I think 50% of the Halloween Costumes last year were people with Sugar Skull make up. They may not even realize what history and beliefs they are tapping into, yet they are drawn to it.  October is a great opportunity to use this interest to help people connect more to their ancestors and those who have gone before us.   You can set up you own Ancestral Alters in your store, arm your staff with the knowledge on how to help your customers create one themselves.  Have children's events where they decorate a sugar skull and learn about its origins.  Group items together that create a story of how you celebrate the dead in your life.
